This oil contains a large amount (50%) of the two 'good' fat which can not be prepared: linoleic acid. It also contains cucurbitine (anthelmintic), trace elements (zinc), vitamins (B, C, E ...) and phytosterols.

 These last ingredients prevent inflammation or development of prostate tissue (benign prostatic hypertrophy), a major cause of urination problems. Excellent results were reported by patients who had prostate problems (men) or urinary tract infections (women) and treated with pumpkin seed oil.
